„Giving people access to justice”. For over 10 years, the Berlin-based air passenger rights start-up Flightright has been fighting for the rights of customers in the event of flight delays or cancellations. And they take this motto very seriously. If an amicable agreement with the airlines is not possible, they simply go to court.
In the meantime, this David versus Goliath battle has been extended to other areas of law: from checking parking tickets and fighting extortionate rents to helping with employment law in cases of unfair dismissal. The small start-up has now grown into a huge law firm with 250 employees at a dozen locations.
So that they don’t just see each other in virtual team meetings year in, year out, the Allrighters meet once a year in Berlin and it has now become a nice tradition for me to make a film about it. This time I wanted to accompany the teams on their journey and capture the anticipation of the event on the beautiful island of Berlin. However, as I couldn’t be at all the locations at the same time, I asked the employees to film their journey themselves.
